Founder, Matchless Web, LLC
I build BTC DCA Engine, and I'm the founder of Matchless Web, LLC, a web development studio in Mississippi.
I built this thing because every Bitcoin calculator I could find showed Bitcoin against Bitcoin. I wanted to know what the same money, on the same schedule, would have done in a house, in gold, in the S&P, in a 3% CD — and nothing would tell me. So I wrote the engine, sourced the data myself, and published how all of it works.
That last part matters more than it sounds. Every figure on this site is computed from daily closes and public index data — Bitcoin back to 17 September 2014, US house prices from FRED, inflation from the BLS CPI-U — and the knowledge base names every source, every start date, and every rounding rule. If you can't check a number I publish, I've done the job badly.
I also publish the unflattering results. Nvidia beat Bitcoin over the window this site measures most often. Roughly one in eight weekly-buy cohorts is underwater today. Buying daily instead of monthly changed the finishing figure by about one and a half percent — 4,487% against 4,557% — before the fees the extra four thousand transactions would have cost you. None of that helps me sell anything, and all of it is true.
What I am not: Matchless Web, LLC is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, commodity trading advisor, accountancy firm or law firm. Nothing here is advice. It is arithmetic on historical prices, and history is not a forecast.
