BTC DCA Engine is a historical simulator. It is not financial advice, it cannot predict anything, and nothing it shows you is a recommendation to buy or sell.

Effective 23 August 2026 · Last updated 30 September 2026

Nothing here is advice of any kind. Not financial, investment, tax, legal or accounting advice.

Looking backwards proves nothing about forwards. Every number this tool produces is a hypothetical reconstruction of the past.

Talk to a licensed professional before you act. A simulation does not know your income, your debts, your taxes or your risk tolerance. A professional can.

1. Nothing on this site is advice

BTC DCA Engine and everything published on this site — simulations, charts, statistics, overlays, the Knowledge Base and any email we send you — is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.

It is not, and must not be treated as:

  • financial, investment or trading advice;
  • tax, accounting or legal advice;
  • an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, commodity, cryptocurrency or other asset;
  • a personal recommendation of any kind, or an opinion on whether any strategy is suitable for you.

Using this site does not create an advisory, fiduciary, brokerage or professional relationship between you and Matchless Web Studio LLC. We do not know who you are, what you own, what you owe, or what you are trying to achieve — and a tool that does not know those things cannot advise you.

2. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results

This is the most important sentence on the page, so it is worth stating without hedging: the fact that a strategy performed a certain way in the past tells you nothing reliable about how it — or any asset — will perform in the future.

Every result the engine produces is retrospective and hypothetical. It is a reconstruction of what a given schedule of purchases would have produced across a historical window that has already happened, and whose outcome was already known when the simulation was built.

Hypothetical and backtested results carry limitations that real trading does not:

  • They are constructed with the benefit of hindsight. The date range, the asset and the strategy are all chosen knowing how the period ended.
  • They assume perfect, frictionless execution at historical daily closing prices. No missed contributions, no outages, no failed transfers.
  • They exclude exchange fees, spreads, slippage, withdrawal costs, custody costs and every form of tax.
  • They assume nothing was ever sold, and that you held through every drawdown without flinching — which is precisely the part real people find hardest.
  • They cannot model your actual behavior, your actual cash flow, or the emotional experience of watching a position fall by 70 per cent.

A favorable simulated outcome is therefore evidence about a specific historical window and nothing more. Markets change. Correlations break. Assets that rose for a decade can fall for a decade. No past result implies any future result.

3. Consult a professional before making financial decisions

Before you act on anything you see here — before you start, change, increase or stop any investment plan — speak with a licensed professional who knows your actual circumstances. Depending on your question, that may be:

  • a certified public accountant (CPA) or tax adviser, for the tax consequences of buying, selling or holding;
  • a certified financial planner (CFP®) or a registered investment adviser, for whether a strategy fits your goals, timeline and risk tolerance;
  • an attorney, for anything touching estate planning, entity structure or regulatory obligations.

A qualified professional can weigh your income, debts, tax position, time horizon, existing holdings and personal risk tolerance. This tool can weigh none of those things. Please do not substitute one for the other.

4. What the engine actually does — and leaves out

So you can judge the output accurately, here is the honest shape of the model. The engine simulates a schedule of purchases against historical daily closing prices from third-party data sources. Unless a specific feature says otherwise, it assumes:

  • every scheduled purchase executed in full, on time, at that day's closing price;
  • zero fees, zero spread, zero slippage and zero taxes;
  • nothing was ever sold, withdrawn or rebalanced.

Real-world returns will differ, and the direction of that difference is generally unfavorable — fees, taxes and imperfect execution all subtract. Optional overlays such as Fear & Greed, the Mayer Multiple, trade-regret and Smart DCA are analytical illustrations, not signals. They do not predict prices and must not be treated as entry or exit instructions. Weighting your purchases does not reliably improve your result — on our own headline scenario the more aggressive Smart DCA settings produce a worse cost per bitcoin than buying the same amount every time, and the effect varies with the period you choose. The Knowledge Base documents each overlay in detail, including that measurement; please read it before drawing conclusions.

None of that makes a regular schedule pointless, and it is worth being exact about what one does. Dollar-cost averaging protects you from your own timing, not from your own basis. It does not lower what you paid, and it is not a method for beating the market — it is a way of not trying to. That is a description of a mechanism, not a recommendation that you adopt it, and nothing in the preceding paragraphs is weakened by it.

5. Every asset here can lose value, including all of it

Bitcoin and the other assets available in this tool are volatile. Prices can fall sharply, without warning, and stay down for years. You can lose money, and you can lose all of it.

Cryptocurrency carries risks that traditional assets generally do not, including extreme volatility, thin or manipulated liquidity, exchange failure, custodial loss, irreversible transactions, permanent loss of access through lost keys, and abrupt regulatory change that can affect whether you can hold or sell at all. Never commit money you cannot afford to lose entirely.

6. The data may be wrong

Price history and market metrics come from third-party providers. That data may be delayed, incomplete, revised after publication, or simply incorrect, and providers can change or withdraw it at any time. We do not independently verify it and we do not warrant its accuracy.

Simulated results depend entirely on that input. Verify anything that matters against an authoritative source before you rely on it.

7. We are not registered with any securities regulator

Matchless Web Studio LLC is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, commodity trading advisor, futures commission merchant, accountancy firm or law firm. We are not registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, FINRA, or any state securities or insurance regulator, and we are not licensed to give investment, tax or legal advice in any jurisdiction.

Nothing on this site should be read as an activity requiring such registration, and no communication from us should be interpreted as personalized advice.

8. Your decisions are your own

You are solely responsible for every financial decision you make, whether or not you looked at this tool first. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matchless Web Studio LLC accepts no liability for any investment loss, missed gain, tax consequence or other damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on anything it shows you. The full limitation is set out in the Terms of Service.

9. Availability is not suitability

This site is operated from the United States. That you can reach it from where you live does not mean the tool, the assets it models, or any strategy it illustrates is lawful, appropriate or available in your jurisdiction. Complying with your local law is your responsibility.
